Throughout my professional career, I have worked in a range of settings across a range of discipline areas, health and physical education, special education, social policy, volunteerism, and public health. I have held a variety positions, these roles have included:
- Secondary and Tertiary Teaching
- Group work
- Resource development
- Community education and training
- Service and project coordination
- Community capacity building
- Project based research
- Managing a small business
- Program and service evaluation and
- High-level policy development and provision of policy advice to various government departments and Ministers
My current role, as Associate Lecturer, teaching and research for the school of Tourism and Leisure Management, University of Queensland.
Academic studies have included: Bachelor of Education (Physical Education), Graduate Diploma in Health Science, and the Masters of Arts in Leisure Management (Honours). I am currently undertaking Doctorate Studies.
