Kensington Accessibility Study - Volunteers Needed

Event date:
30 March 2011

Visionary Design Development is looking for volunteer participants with mobility issues to undertake on-site assessment throughout an inner north/west suburb of Melbourne.

The Universal Mobility Index is a new way of measuring the overall accessibility of all parts of the built environment. Private dwellings, public and commercial buildings along with infrastructure such as footpaths, bus stops and pedestrian crossings, etc are all rated for accessibility. Results will show which parts of the built environment are under-performing. All site assessment is undertaken in survey teams; all team members are persons with a disability.

If you would like to be part of this exciting new accessibility initiative please get in touch via the contact details provided.
