Meet and talk to community and disability organisations at the information expo and learn what’s available in your community. Organisation representatives on the day will discuss with you how they support people with disabilities to be involved in the Redland’s. Organisation expo table bookings can be made with Jennie Schoof 3109 7035 or [email protected] there is no cost in booking a table.

Or perhaps you have a story to tell and would like to be involved in the “Express yourself in the Redlands event”. On the day people with disabilities digital stories will be a highlight of the event. We will be running digital stories that are submitted using digital storytelling through PowerPoint. PowerPoint stories need to be lodged by 3rd September 2009.

Digital storytelling is a new method of capturing lives, experiences and sharing your story. It’s easy to do; all you need to do to be involved is have some photographs and a story about what you do in the Redlands community. This is then used to develop a digital story using power point.

There are no verbal presentations on the day however, the story is told through the power point via text, music or photographs only. For more information contact Jennie Schoof 3109 7035 or [email protected] or Judy Mayfield 07 3824 5593 or Judy Mayfield [[email protected]].

If you need assistance to develop your power point story we are happy to assist you or your organisation, but remember you only have until 3rd September 2009 to lodge your power point.
