2006/07 Sport Leadership Grants for Women
Grant opportunity for women in disability sport to undertake sport leadership training.
The Australian Government through the Australian Sports Commission and the Australian Government Office for Women invite you to apply for the 2006/07 Sport Leadership Grants for Women.
One aim of the Sport Leadership grants program is to provide women with disabilities and women who work in sport with people with disabilities and organisations with an opportunity to undertake further education and training in a number of areas of sport leadership.
The 2006/07 Sport Leadership Grants for Women offers grants in five key categories:
- Women in disability sport
- Women in general sport leadership
- High Performance coaching and officiating
- Indigenous women
- Women from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds
Each category includes the following project areas:
- Coaching
- Officiating
- Management (including administration)
- Governance (board and committees)
Examples include:
- Level 1 Coaching Certificate
- AUSLAN training course
- Classifier training for specific sports
- Management training for not for profit organisations
- Postgraduate studies in sport specific technical equipment for athletes with a disability
The Program provides successful applicants with a one-off grant of up to $5,000 for individuals and up to $10,000 for incorporated organisations.
