Nican invites older Canberrans to register your interest for Know Before You Go  "Building Transport Confidence"

Nican will be running a 6 week course for seniors, free of charge, in April 2014.

The course is sponsored by the NRMA-ACT Road Safety Trust and the Australian Government under the Productive Ageing through Community Education (PAtCE) Program.

Meeting for two hours each week for 6 weeks, the Know Before You Go "Building Transport Confidence" will help you use a range of transport options safely and with confidence, even if you have other mobility needs. The course will be ideal for older Canberrans adjusting to changes in their mobility.

The course will include information on buses, mobility scooters, taxis, bike paths and more. You will get 6 weeks of learning in a small group with an emphasis on practical techniques and a kit with fact sheets and handy tips.
