Ainslie Arts Centre, Elouera St Braddon
Music For Everyone presents a unique program of music activity sessions for adults and upper teens with disabilities. Winning the Most Outstanding Program Award and the Most Outstanding Tutor Award at the 2008 ACT Adult Learners Awards, this program offers a hands-on, activity-based exploration of music in a stimulating and supportive atmosphere.
Participants are encouraged to sing and play music, listen and move to music in many different styles from many different cultures. The tutors for this program are either an experienced music therapist or professional musicians with experience in working with people with special needs.
Many (but not all) participants attend these sessions with carers. The fees for one term are $145 plus MFE membership for the rest of the year $15. Sessions run each week during ACT school terms and are for one and half hours in duration.
As existing groups in this program are now full, a new group will start at the Ainslie Arts Centre this term at one of the following times:
TUESDAYS 11.00-12.30
OR
WEDNESDAYS 1.00-2.30pm
