New horror film by people with a disability

New Australian horror short film 'James Jones and the Living Dead', written and shot entirely by people with a disability, will premiere this year at Narellan United Cinema.

Production company Camden Creative Studios combines traditional and digital arts to provide education, new skills and greater opportunities for creative expression to people of all ages, all backgrounds and all abilities in the Camden area. 'James Jones and the Living Dead' was produced as part of a series of film-making workshops as therapy and skills-training for people with a disability in a partnership between Camden Creative Studios and Macarthur Disability Services.

Camden Creative Studios were winners of the 2008 Local Government and Shire Accessible Arts award, offered to a group which demonstrates sophisticated and effective access at all levels of the project. The annual awards, organised by the Local Government and Shires Associations of NSW, promote and showcase cultural activities and projects developed by councils during the year.
