The inaugural ParaQuad Charity Golf Day was held on the 3rd of December to mark International Day of People with a Disability (IDPwD). After a week of rain, the weather cleared and Sydney put on a perfect summer's day for the event. The turnout was positive, with over 50 participants taking part. The winning team was from Coloplast, although the Ladies team from Ferguson Lodge was in the running before retiring for some sparkling wine at the 12th hole.

Over $8,000 was raised on the day, which will provide essential services to people with a spinal cord injury. Thank you to Peugeot, Jacobs Creek, ING Direct,Digital Armour, Crown Plaza Hunter Valley, QBE Insurance, Men of League Foundation, Driving Solutions and Mr. Barry O'Farrell who provided an amazing array of gifts for the auction at the close of play.

As part of IDPwD, ParaQuad NSW also hosted a Wheelchair Basketball event in collaboration with Wheelchair Sports NSW. The event was held on 3rd December at the King George V Recreation Centre in the Rocks. The afternoon started with a welcome and introduction by Aleks Duric from ParaQuad, followed by an inspirational talk by wheelchair basketball Paralympian and silver and bronze medalist Kylie Gauci.

After a warm up and instruction, six teams from Westpac Banking Corporation participated in some lively wheelchair basketball, with the spectators becoming as much a part of the fun as the players by enthusiastically cheering on their teams. The event provided a great opportunity for the participants to experience the difficulties involved in using a wheelchair and having to find new ways of maneuvering themselves around the basketball court. In the final the Website Wheelies defeated the HR Wheelies 2-0 to become the inaugural Westpac Wheelchair Basketball Challenge Champions!
