Research into the Experiences of People with Disabilities and Museums

Date posted:
11 June 2005

I am conducting research for the Australian Museum and the National Museum of Australia for an upcoming publication about the experiences of people with disabilities and museums.

I am looking for people with disabilities and carers who are interested in museums, have something to say about their museum experiences and are available to attend a consultation session in Canberra.

There are a number of groups occurring for different access needs, all the details are below. The groups for people who are Deaf will be Auslan interpreted. Sessions in Canberra will be at the Museum. Participants will be paid $30 for their time.

If you are interested or know someone who would be interested, please let me know: kiersten@aarts.net.au or 02 9251 6499, the groups are limited in number so get in quickly if you would like to come,
