The Riding for the Disabled Association in Tasmania has five centres providing horse riding for people with disabilities.Horse riding provides a freedom of mobility and achievement not always possible. A four-legged friend enables a person with a disability to enjoy the smells, sights and sounds of a bush trail and affords a pleasurable exercise which aids co-ordination and balance, stimulates the mind and circulation, improves the tone and muscle relaxation, psychologically making the rider feel more able.
