Scouts Australia, New South Wales Branch

It is the aim of the Association that, wherever possible, young people with disabilities should be integrated into their local formations within the community. The Branch aims to offer support to Units and Leaders who desire to integrate but feel they are not capable of handling people with disabilities without some practical assistance. Recreational facilities are available at Cataract Scout Park, situated approximately halfway between Campbelltown and Wollongong on the Appin-Bulli Road. Kindred youth and community organisations, schools, even family camping groups may use the park and its facilities. Many of the permanent activity centres can be activated to meet the needs of groups. Scouting with People with Disabilities holds an integrated camp (under canvas) for young people over 11 years, in the September school holidays each year. Please ring Branch Headquarters for more information.
