Northcott Disability Services - Riverina -Murray Region NSW

Provides support and information to children, youth and adults with disabilities and their families. Support includes home visits, telephone contact, support groups, advocacy and centre based and flexible respite. Northcott's respite cottage s (5 Dunlop Place, Wagga Wagga and 24 Budawang Place, Wagga Wagga ) enables respite to be provided to children and young adults with disabilities . The cottage s are also available for emergency respite in some instances. Regular clinics are also available in the Riverina area, including regular orthotic/seating clinics and yearly Computer Assistive Technology clinics. Equipment is available to Northcott clients through Northcott's loan pool and information accessible through our head office libra ry . Northcott also provides flexible respite (however, it is advisable to check the availability of places in the program).All the services focus on the individual child or young adult rather than the disability, and recognises that our clients are individuals with strengths, abilities, hopes and needs like all members of the community. The services are directed towards enabling our clients to reach maturity with capacities and opportunities to take effective control of their lives.
