Holroyd Peer Support

The primary aim of Peer Support is to provide activities which will be great fun, provide a break for carers and lead to a more independent and enjoyable lifestyle for participants. The Peer Support Service has been especially designed for people who are aged 18 to 65, have an intellectual disability, live within or close to the Holroyd Local Government Area and who would like to participate in new and interesting activities in their spare time. They may be lonely and would like to meet people their own age or need to develop their social and recreational skills before joining community recreation or sporting clubs. People wishing to become members of Peer Support will be interviewed beforehand. membership is limited however, and there may be a waiting list for particular activities. The activities take place after hours on weekdays and on weekends. Please ring for more information.
