People Outdoors is a community based service committed to improving and increasing the opportunities for children and young people with a disability to be involved in camping and outdoor adventure experiences in the community. We run weekend camps and support children and teenagers to access mainstream camps during the school holidays. We also provide information about outdoor adventure type activities in the community. The other services provided are information, training, advocacy, community education, adaptive equipment (off road wheelchairs (or bush wheelers) available for bush walking) and videos. Equipment is rented at a reasonable cost, and we are prepared to put it on a train or bus for clients out of Melbourne. We are always looking for volunteers.
