Nican Inc

Nican is an information service on recreation, sport, tourism and the arts for people with disabilities. Nican is national, non profit, and free. The information is on a database with nearly 4,000 entries on organisations which offer programs, activities, services, and information, either for everyone in the community, or specifically for people with a disability. The database is being updated and expanded on a daily basis. Information is available on an 'as needs' basis, with clients nominating what they are looking for (recreation, sport, accessible accommodation etc.), their needs (mobility restrictions etc.), and the place they need the information. The service is offered to consumers, carers, service providers, and researchers.
