The Australian National Botanic Gardens is a living encyclopia of native plants, displaying plants from all areas of Australia. A paved path with gradients of less the 1:13 links the major features of the Gardens including the regional and themed display gardens such as the rainforest Gully, Sydney region , Rock Garden, Eucalypt Lawn. Other features include displays and exhibitions in the Visitor Centre and Gallery, Friends of the gardens Lecture Series and other activities, The Botanical Bookshop and the Hudson's Cafe/Restaurant. The Gardens are an ideal place for recreation and to learn more about our unique native plants.

Wheelchair access along main path and to many parts of the gardens and venues, accessible toilets, raised garden beds.There are four disabled access car parking spaces in the top northern end of the main carpark, close to the Visitor Centre and Floresco in the Gardens Cafe, and three located at the rear of the Crosbie Morrison building.
