The Arts Project Australia studio-workshop provides a community based visual arts facility which acknowledges the particular needs of people with intellectual disabilities, and offers the opportunity for them to develop their artistic skills and awareness in the areas of painting, drawing,ceramics and animation.The studio-workshop has its own premises, which also houses a gallery and storage for the permanent collection. It operates on a sessional basis during which participants have access to quality art materials together with advice and assistance from contemporary artists. Artistic independence and self reliance are encouraged. Outreach programs in other locations can also be arranged.
