Springvale Community Aid and Advice Bureau

The Bureau assists people by providing information, advice and support to all members of the community, confidentially and free of charge.Services offered are information and referral, financial counselling, practical assistance eg budgeting, emergency relief by boundary, helping people with entitlements eg Centrelink pensions and benefits, settlement matters, and child support information. The Bureau is committed to advocacy for individuals, working to change government policies to provide greater equity and justice for disadvantaged groups within the community, and the development of self-help groups. Bi-lingual workers are available in some programs. Assistance in other languages can be provided on request using TIS. Legal advice and assistance is available from Springvale Monash Legal Service in the same building. All clients welcome, however, there are no specialist workers for people with disabilities.
