New Lake Peer Support Inc.

New Lake Peer Support is a service which provides respite for families and young adults with disabilities, living in the Newcastle and Lake Macquarie local government areas.It provides care or assistance out of home through involvement in supported, age appropriate social, recreational and sporting activities in groups or individually. Volunteers assist with these activities and provide support and assistance to participants. It gives the person with the disability a chance to go to a movie, sporting fixture or out shopping, independent of his or her family. What activities are available? Most leisure activities are available such as - movie and theatre, discos, day bus trips, art, craft activities, drama and dancing, video nights and weekend holidays, individual buddy link-ups, sporting events.
