The Parks and Wildlife Service administers and maintains all State National Parks and State reserves, historic sites, Tasmanian Wilderness World Heritage Areas, wildlife sanctuaries and also disseminates information regarding the above.It aims for the conservation and preservation of these environments for research purposes and for the enjoyment of present and future generations. The Information Desk is staffed in person during summer only (December to March).
