November Workshop with Mica Lynnah

Time, Space and Love

About Mica Lynnah

Mica Lynnah (AKA Mica Cochrane) is a creative arts facilitator, running programmes in both the visual and performing arts. Her work is focussed on community engagement and social inclusion.

Mica has had a lifelong interest in the arts, and began her career at an early age in the Candelo Arts Society. Following on from a background in drama and visual art, she turned her focus to dance in 2006, and began teaching at Canberra Dance Theatre in 2009. Her genre of dance is essentially creative movement, with strong influence from various forms of world dance. She has trained in many styles of dance and movement locally and internationally, including in the USA and South East Asia. She frequently performs at community events, private functions and fundraisers.

Mica became drawn into the world of inclusive dance in 2008, when she joined a class facilitated by Morgan Jai Morincome and Min Mae. For the next three years she worked alongside Morincome and Mae, including participating in The Radiance Dance Project in 2010. She has been profoundly influenced by the work of these two women, and considers them her mentors.
