This library provides resources to cater for the information and recreational reading needs of the people in the area.There is a good range of books, magazines, cassettes, videos, and compact discs. Services include reference enquiries, and a Readers Advisor. Services for children include a wide collection of books, educational games and toys for use in the library storytime, holiday activities, craft. Services for people from non-English speaking backgrounds includes books, cassettes, magazines and newspapers in Turkish, Arabic, Chinese, Vietnamese. Books in Croatian, Tamil and Spanish are also available. Regular loans are obtained from the State Library of NSW in other languages. A collection of English-as-a-second language material is provided. A Home Library Service is available to residents of the municipality who by reason of age, sickness or other capacity are unable to use the library. The service is available for short or long term periods.New collcetion in Korean and Persian items available. A display of artwork and craft of older members of Auburn community and people with disability is organised each year during October and November as apromotion of day of olderpersons and disability week. The display provides opportunity for promoting public awareness of artisic talents, contributuin acheivements and ambitions of people with special needs.
