COTA (SA) acts for elderly people in many ways by representation on government bodies, supporting voluntary organisations, and providing a number of services.Some of the services are advocacy, tax help, financial advice, special projects, pre-retirement seminars, senior citizens' clubs, music society, directories, COTA National Seniors insurance, Travel Club, Every Generation is held annually. Every Generation is co-ordinated by COTA (SA). The Committee organises a central program of events such as the annual Seniors Week Awards, concerts, schools music treat, displays, leisure and lifestyle activities, seminars, etc. and assists local groups, especially through publicity in promoting an event in the State program. Events can be organised by an individual on a local group basis, or by self-help groups, nursing homes, community organisations, schools, sporting and recreation organisations, hospitals - anyone.
