The Down Syndrome Association of Victoria Inc promotes improvements in the quality of life of persons with Down syndrome. The Association provides understanding support, information and encouragement, ensures that the member of the family with Down syndrome has every assistance and provides a State-wide association to bring people who have like needs together. The Association has established a trained parent support group, provides up-to-date accurate information on Down syndrome, provides library facilities, provides speakers and is a general resource and information centre. The Association supports and promotes Down Syndrome Awareness Week, The 'A' Show art show, and has regular family fun days.
