East Gippsland Arts and Recreation Access Group

EGARAG

EGARAG Inc is a regional community organisation which assists people with disabilities to access the recreational activity of their choice.The organisation comprises agency representatives, professionals in relevant fields, all levels of government, health centres, clients, family members etc. It has a charter to assist and address access issues about recreation for people with disabilities. It operates voluntarily in sub-committees on particular issues, holds regional forums and supports groups seeking assistance. It is the provider for the 'Access for All Abilities' program in Wellington and East Gippsland Shires. The project officer is involved in regional planning issues for on-going support service in recreation, community education and public awareness. This is an individual integration project.
