Fairfield City Council (NSW)

Acronym:

Fairfield City Council does not specifically offer any programs for people with disabilities. However, we can provide a liaison between people wishing specific services and those sporting clubs and other groups in the community who may be able to accommodate specific requests. The Leisure Centre in Vine Street, Fairfield, is accessible for sporting activities (indoor sporting hall, seating, washrooms, showers) and includes a heated indoor swimming pool. A new accissable indoor poolfitted for hydrotherapy can be used by resident groups at Cabra Vale There is also a playground for children with disabilities in Knight St Reserve, Lansvale. The Fairfield Showground has a ramp leading to the grandstand with an accessible toilet at ground level. Please call 725 2333 for further information. The markets and festivals are held on ground level. Fairfield City Farm is fully accessible, holds markets on the weekends, and many special events.
