Gold Coast Police-Citizens Youth Club

Acronym:
G.C.P.C.Y.C

The objectives of police citizens youth clubs are to promote programs and activities directed to the personal, physical and cultural development of children and adolescents. Citizens and police become aware of their responsibilities towards children and adolescents and the clubs provide a positive interface between the police force and the community. The clubs provide cultural, recreational, and sporting programs for individuals, community groups, and organisations. All people are welcome regardless of sex, race, creed, or ethnic background. All activities in this group integrate children with disabilities with other participants. There is a buddy system to assist children with low support needs, but if the child has high support needs, parents (or another carer) may need to come along to provide support.
