Guides Tasmania

The Association trains and encourages girls to be useful citizens in their communities and to foster international friendships. To this end, guiding helps each individual to develop as a whole person, mentally, physically and spiritually, through the weekly program, camps, hikes, community service etc. Age groups are Guides 6 to 7 1/2 years, Guides 7 to 10 1/2 years, Guides 10 1/2 to 14 1/2 years, Guides 14 1/2 to 18 1/2 years, Ranger 18 1/2 to 25 years.The Tasmanian Girl Guides Association has a central office in Battery Point and 14 divisions located throughout Tasmania. Mission Statement: Guides Australia helping girls and young women grow into confident, self-respecting, responsible community members.
