Girl Guides Tasmania

Guides Tasmania aims to provide opportunities for girls and young women to grow into confident, self-respecting, responsible community members. The Guide program has fun activities developing the skills of community citizenship, care and protection of the environment, sustainability of community resources, world understanding and tolerance of other people. Guides are able to experience exciting challenges with friends and have lots of fun. Every week may be a different experience. Guides get to try a wide range of activities appropriate to their age, abilities and interests. Guides discover, decide, plan, participate and evaluate their program with the guidance of trained adult volunteer Leaders. There are many statewide events that cover a wide range of interests such as environmental, music, art and drama, water and wilderness expeditions. Age groups are varied depending on the needs of the local community.
