Interchange provides a short break for parents by matching a child with a host family from the local community who will have the child stay with them at regular intervals for up to 48 hours per month. There is now a 'Teen Companion Program' for adolescents from 13-20 who have a disability. The main aim of this program is to link a young person with a disability with a volunteer for fun and friendship.There is also a camp program known as 'Great Breaks' which offers recreation and respite to 13 to 18 year olds with an intellectual disability.
