Marro commenced operation in 1997/1998 and has conducted a number of trips since that time.Trips have been from one to five days in duration and included camping weekends, capital city adventures, the Blue Mountains, places of interest such as zoo's, botanic gardens and museums and general recreational activities eg fishing. Marro has access to a modern fleet of mini buses, a fully operational camping trailer and tents and the support of a range of day activity providers. Cost of programs are enlisted on pamphlets and brochures and support levels range from fully supported to independent status. A regular Tuesday program 'Out & About' provides for Albury and District based consumers a recreational day visiting places or interest in the local region. Access is provided to a fully operational farm including activities such as handling a diverse range of animals, gardening and general outdoors programs. Marro can also provide tailor made programs to suit the requirements of groups with similar needs as well as general community/social access activities. New programs include cooking, fishing, camping, orienteering and gardening.Marro also provides modified sports and arranges supported trips to sporting highlights eg; AFL.. Group travel trips are arranged and conducted for aged/frail care organisations and for people with disabilities. Kalianna also acts on the board for access to challengeFoundation Holiday Units at Batesman Bay and South West Rocks in NSW.
