Kalkari Discovery Centre - Kuring-gai Chase National Park

The discovery program is the environmental education component of the National Parks and Wildlife Service. The Discovery volunteers run Kalkari Discovery Centre. This has a bushland wheelchair track, passive accessible wildlife displays, and a wheelchair accessible theatre to show nature and Australiana videos (a 3-D slide show about the Park is operative). The volunteers will also visit and give talks on wildlife subjects, take nocturnal prowls or lead other activities. Entry to Kalkari is free.At Apple Tree Bay there is a boat ramp with pontoon for limited wheelchair access to boats. The Discovery Centre can provide further information on accessible features of the Ku-ring-gai chase National Park.
