Karrinyup Public Library - City of Stirling Public Libraries

This is a public library service, providing for the reading and information needs of local residents. All City of Stirling libraries operate on a fully integrated computerised library system known as the AMLIB system. The system gives library users access to all materials in the City's libraries and this results in a faster request service, information on stock holdings at your fingertips and a faster turnaround of library materials for re-use. A reader assistance service is available to all library users to answer enquiries and to offer aid in the interpretation of the catalogues and collection. An enquiry terminal for public use is available at each library, public Internet computers are available and items may be requested by filling in a request card at the information desk. A selection of standard reference works is available in each library. All libraries subscribe to a selection of popular magazines for loan. A selection of spoken word, music, CD's, CD ROMs and video recordings are available. Photocopying facilities are provided for a small fee. A limited selection of reading matter in other languages is available. There are also City of Stirling Libraries at Scarborough, Osborne (Tuart Hill), Mirrabooka, Inglewood and Dianella. Readers can also request books from home (with a password) on their computers. From January 2005 there will also be a Local Studies Library onsite at the Library.
