Kiama Municipal Council

Kiama local government area is a semi-rural municipality about 120km south of Sydney comprising 256 square kilometres and an estimated population of 20,250 people.Council employs specialist staff within the Community Services Department which care specifically for the frail aged and people with disabilities. Council constructed and operates its own retirement complex, consisting of a 40 bed nursing home, 115 self-care units, 52 high care beds & 30 low care beds. Council has an Access Committee which provides comments on all development applications and advises Council on all aspects of access for people with disabilities.
