The aims of this organisation are to provide high quality short term substitute care programme to families in crisis, as well as for families with children who have special needs arising out of physical and/or intellectual disabilities. Children are placed with trained, licensed carers who live within the region. There is also a Peer Support Programme run at Campbelltown, Camden and Wollondilly, aimed at meeting the social, recreational and leisure needs of adolescents and young adults. This support programme has a number of different groups (large and small) for ages 15 to 65, physical disability groups, one to one links, a breakaway playgroup for pre-school aged children who have a disability, the Macarthur Play Therapy Group run by a teacher and aimed at providing social and group awareness skills for school age children.An overall aim of all groups is to give general support with integration into mainstream community groups. We now have a holiday venture program for children with a disability. This program takes the children out on activities in the community and also centre based activities. Kids Club Sport activities for children up to 14 with a physical or intellectual disability. Activities include soccer, skating and others aimed to help children to play organised and individual sports.
