This library provides resources to cater for the information and recreational reading needs of the people in this area. There is a good range of books, magazines, cassettes, videos, and compact discs. Services include reference enquiries, and a Readers Advisor. The non-fiction collection contains books dealing with various disabilities from a variety of perspectives.Friends of the Library read to children in hospitals in Mackay. Volunteers are available to assist people with a vision impairment to access the services provided in the library. Please enquire about any other services for people with disabilities, and for people from non-English speaking background.
