Maroondah City Council and Home and Community Care Program (

Maroondah City Council provides support and services to people who are frail aged or who have a disability. Senior citizens clubs have been established with disability access to toilets and other facilities. A Disabled Persons Directory of Services in Maroondah and the Outer East is available together with a Community Recreation Guide. Council together with Ringwood Football Club co-ordinates a football team for males and females aged 16 - 60 years with an intellectual disability. The team `Ringwood Blues' plays in the Football Integration Development Association League. Training is Tuesday evening and games are played fortnightly. Contact Frank Sullivan (03) 9801 1350.Door to door transport is provided for frail aged to the local shopping centre, Monday hydrotherapy class and library with socialisation component. HACC home care services are provided. There is a heated indoor swimming pool and a hydrotherapy pool with access via a hydraulic floor and chair. Staff are available to assist where necessary. A Disability Advisory Committee has also been set up by council.
