The Council provides a range of services through different centres. Public information is through the Mount Isa City Council Library, West Street, Mount Isa. Resource assistance and referrals is available from the Mount Isa Comunity Development Association, Old Courthouse, Isa Street, Mount Isa. Information is also provided on wheelchair access to public buildings and programs and facilities for residents with disabilities.The Community Advice & Information Centre in the Council Administration Office, West Street, Mount Isa offers intending and new residents general information on the City and services through their Welcome Packs that are available at no charge. The outback at Isa is situated in Marian Street incorporates an interactive display that depicts the fossils unearthed from the Riversleigh Fossil site. The centre also offers visitors a comprehensive tourist information service and includes a working fossil treatment laboratory. The Mount Isa Civic Centre in West Street play host to a number of visiting and local performing artists and exhibitions.
