The SA Writers Centre

Acronym: 
SAWC

This Centre promotes involvement in all forms of writing.The centre endeavourrs to make writing, and the craft of writing,more accessible to the whole community. It co ordinates a statewide program of writing activities and provides information to writers on all aspects of writing. Maintains studio space where writers may work. The centre acts as an information exchange for writers' groups. Seeks employment and plublishing opportunities for writers. A full list of writing groups can be obtained from tne SAWC. Some of the writing Groups in both the city and country are - Friendly Street, Yorke Peninsula Writers, Eyre Writers, Kensington and Norwood Writers Group, Seaside Writers, Henley Scribblers, A Passion of Poets, Fleurieu Writers and many more. A new program for writers with disabilities has been set up, whereby they can work one on one with our Writer in Residence (funded by The Richard Llewellyn Trust/Arts SA).
