The aim of the Scout Association is to encourage the physical, mental, social and spiritual development of young people so that they may take a constructive place in society as responsible citizens.The principal methods are - membership of a uniformed , commitment to a code for living, constructive and challenging activities, opportunities for leadership, learning by doing, and an award scheme. All ages of scouts participate in many adventure activities and community service activities. All scout groups make a particular effort to make young people with disabilities welcome, and provide buddies and as much assistance as possible. Scout programs include membership of the following - Joey scouts (6-8 years), Cub Scouts (8-11), Scouts (11-15), Venturers (15-18) and Rovers (18-25. Meetings are held in many towns and suburbs.
