The library provides a range of recreational and educational material for the whole community and is one of the services provided by Singleton Shire Council.A wide variety of books, magazines, pamphlets, videos and computer software is available for all ages and interests. Seven of the computers have other Internet services including e-mail. Zoomtext software is available for some applications. Also available are CD-Rom databases and other computer software. Preschool sessions for individual children and their parents are held each Wednesday from 10.00am to 10.30am. For children there are also toys, games, and dress-up materials. Local history and family history aids are also available on microfilm and CD-Rom, such as the Singleton Argus, NSW Birth Deaths and Marriages Index, and the Singleton Times.
