St George Community Transport Project Inc.

This project provides a service for people who are frail, aged and younger people with a disability. The Project has nine mini buses - 1 x 12 seats and 6 x 20 seats. Four mini bus has wheelchair access. Service is provided for shopping excursions, stroke support groups, respite care, day care centres, hydrotherapy, Blind Society activities, 'housebound' persons and recreational activities. There is also an 'Individual Transport Scheme' that transports passengers to medical and therapeutic appointments, recreational activities and to visit relatives and spouses in hospitals. Project owns five cars for 'Individual Transport'. Provides 'Activities' transport in St George and Sutherland areas. Activities transport is for HACC target clients to visit non-medical appointments/venues eg shopping, legal appointments, visit spouse or relatives in hospitals or nursing homes, recreational activities.
