Supportive Learning Unit, Karama School

Categories:

The children who are registered in the Special Education Unit are fully integrated into a regular class. They participate daily in a Supportive Learning Unit to receive intensive teaching in various areas depending on their specific weaknesses. The aim is to help them to function full-time in a regular class and to help them cope at High School. Eleven children are currently registered and catered for by the Special Education Teacher. Support is also given to twelve children who are not on the official roll. A teaching assistant works with the children in their mainstream classes.
