The aims of the Association, are to transcribe books and other information required into braille for the visually impaired, to provide and maintain a free library for the use of braille readers throughout Tasmania, and to provide access to our holding to other braille readers in Australia, through inter-library loan.It is also our aim to obtain and present a true knowledge of the needs and capabilities of braille readers as fellow citizens, and to co-operate with any other association with similar objectives. We also braille on request (eg medication guides, radio programmes, minutes, pamphlets etc) and continually braille new books.
