Triathlon Victoria

Acronym:
TRI VIC

We provide administrative services for the sports of triathlon and duathlon in Victoria and Australia. Triathlon is a multi-discipline sport comprising swimming, cycling and running. It is not a sport where people with a disability can easily participate but we are most prepared to try to accommodate those with disabilities. Duathlon comprises running, cycling and running - and events are generally conducted during the winter months when it is to cold to swim. Aquathlon involves swimming & running. We have previously had events where participants have been blind and have participated in all three disciplines using a sighted companion (ie a tandem cycle and a guide rope in the swim and run section) and also where a wheelchair entrant has been assisted from the water and completed the run and ride section in the wheelchair. All we need is advance notice of intended participation so we can cater for such persons.
