This is a self-help adult education organisation primarily for people who are retired or are nearing retirement.Day-time courses (once a week) in many subjects, languages, literature, philosophy, history, natural science, politics, current affairs, music appreciation, play reading, are offered for periods of 1 to 40 weeks. No pre-requisites are asked and no awards given. Office hours are from 10.00am till 3.00pm Monday to Friday. The course leaders give services free of charge, as do those members who staff the office. The annual membership fee of $65 is all inclusive, and includes entry to all courses, with the exception of computer and a few other courses for which an additional charge is made.
