Victoria Park Nature Reserve - NSW National Parks and Wildli

Tourist attraction with some wheelchair access. Small hilltop park with rainforest and reafforestation program. 29km from Lismore includes Figtree walk - 400m accessible board walk, track through thick rainforest on hillside, big fallen mossy trees. It is hard to imagine that this tiny remnant of rainforest is nearly all that is left on an area once known as the Big Scrub, believed to have once covered an area of some 73 000 hectares. A specially constructed boardwalk allows you to travel back in time beneath a canopy of towering trees. Ideal for day visits. Picnic facilities include a shelter shed, water, barbeques, tables and toilets. An informative display and track signs cater for the enquiring mind. The park is managed by the NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service.
